What this site is

An independent journal

No inventory and no booking desk: this site chooses stays, tours and routes by hand, writes down what it can check, and marks every partner link. The booking itself finishes on the partner's side, with their terms and their support.

How the site is paid

Partner links carry a commission when a booking happens through them, at no extra cost to you. The prices are the partner's prices either way, and the disclosure page sets the whole arrangement out.

How the writing works

The notes are written and checked by the editors of this site. Pages whose facts move, such as visas, seasons and timetables, carry their sources and the date they were checked; the editorial policy explains the rules.

What the site will not do

It will not invent a review, quote a price without its plan, use a ranking word in place of a fact, or hide a paid link. Where something turns out to be wrong, it is corrected and the correction is visible.
